Health Implementation Strategies

Habits are what we do. They make who we are and who we will be. They need our focus and attention to become healthier as individuals and communities.

To build, update, and sustain healthy personal and social habits, we need strategies. These strategies will address the cycle of change when it comes to habits. They will involve planning, tracking, and responding.

Planning

Regular time needs to be carved it out to do planning.

Tracking

Daily time needs for tracking habits. A habit checklist app on a mobile phone makes it easy to track completion of needed habits.

Responding

Responding is the easiest step to skip. It is, however, the most crucial step. Responding means making a change to our plan. It means making a change to our daily activities. It may even require an intervention or direct help from others.

Change is Possible

When changing habits, one will not "win" all the time. Yet, one will win at moments and in the long run. Sustained planning, effort, reflection and response will let you know that you are becoming healthier.
